Sacred Heart and St Francis Parish has a project supporting Mary’s Meals and the plan is to raise £8,330.25. This sum will ensure that all 435 pupils at Ibundya School in Karonga, Malawi, get a school meal every day, allowing them the basic human right of education.
It actually costs only £19.15 to feed one child for one year. I am therefore asking you to donate £20.00 to the project to sponsor one child. You can pay by cash, cheque (to “Sacred Heart and St Francis Parish”) or online.
So far we have raised over £6000!
We are not permitted to know the children’s names, so we are asking sponsers to give your child a first name, to make the child more personal to you, and please also choose a saint whose prayers you are going to enlist.
You will receive a certificate by way of confirmation and this will include on it the Prayer for Mary’s Meals which you are invited to pray on a regular basis.
